About Boonslick
    Boonslick Kiwanis Club is one of the two breakfast clubs in Columbia. We meet every Wednesday morning from 7:00 am to 8:00 am at HyVee South in the Rock Bridge Shopping Center.

    To improve lives through fellowship in service worldwide

Defining Statement
    Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

A Typical Meeting

  • Members are encouraged to arrive before 7 am.
  • Committee reports, Kiwanis Education, sharing of joys or concerns among members and introduction of guests last about 20-25 minutes.
  • Speakers begin a presentation around 7:30 am.
  • Meetings adjourn at 8 am.
  • Months with a fifth Wednesday - other club business may be addressed.

Expectations of Members

  • Attend club meetings regularly
  • Participate in club service and fundraising projects
    • √ Choose from a selection of projects 
  • Get acquainted with all members. Sit at different tables or with different people at each meeting. 
  • Demonstrate pride of membership. 
  • Share the experience with others and encourage them to join.
