Kiwanis members serve their communities all year long. But the excitement for service really builds in early April each year when Kiwanis members come together for Kiwanis One Day—a day of community service that is felt around the world.
The entire Kiwanis family—Kiwanis Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, Circle K, Aktion Club and Kiwanis clubs—joins forces for this large-scale service project. Any project, big or small, is worth tackling. Projects fill a specific need in each community and have included everything from building playgrounds to volunteering at a shelter to stocking shelves at a food pantry.
Last April the Columbia Kiwanis Families clubs proudly joined together on April 7 to participate in Kiwanis One Day's global day of service. This year’s event took place all across the Columbia community. Volunteers cleaned, renovated and beautified various homes throughout the community for adults with disabilities.
